In June 1956 Jacques Anquetil broke the world speed hour record cycling with 46.159 km on the Vigorelli race track in Milan. Jacques Anquetil was called Mr. Chrono because he was so strong in time cycling. He is also known for his statement: "To prepare for a race there is nothing better than a good pheasant, some champagne and a woman."
