The meteorological station of Passo della Cisa is the reference meteorological station for the meteorological service of the Air Force and for the World Meteorological Organization, related to the eponymous Apennine pass.
Its existence is already documented in the map of meteorological stations of the Meteorological Service of the Air Force from 1932 and since 1946 it has been continuously operating until 6 PM on Friday, April 20, 2018; from that date the station was suspended from service until September 23, 2019 due to a lack of observational staff.
