The Canale Piovego is a canal in northern Italy, in the province of Padua, that connects the rivers Brenta and Bacchiglione east of Padua. The canal was built in 1209.
In 1143, the city of Vicenza constructed the Canale Bisatto to deprive Padua of its water during a war between the two cities. In response, the city of Padua dug the Canale Piovego in 1209 to provide the city with water from the Brenta.
