This is the San Glisente Pozza. According to La Flamme Rouge, this is possibly the steepest climb in the world. The mountain, which is about 40 miles north of Brescia, is 10.2 kilometers long and has an average increase of 18.1 percent. Apparently, the maximum slope increases to 35 percent. The road surface is anything but straightforward. One part consists of cobbles. The slope and the state of the road make this climb perhaps the hardest in the world, says La Flamme Rouge. Eros Forenzi needed 3 hours, 2 minutes and 41 seconds. On the video below is a part of the descent.
