Path of Don Bosco

The Don Bosco Path, starting from the Sanctuary of Mary Help of Christians (Mother House of Turin Valdocco, a symbolic place for the Salesians where Saint John Bosco is buried), leads to Colle Don Bosco (Castelnuovo Don Bosco, Asti). The route lends itself to a wide variety of uses: from a one-day walk to multi-day treks that can also include a return to Turin via a loop path. It presents no particular difficulties: marked with white and green signs in a clockwise direction from Turin, it is particularly suitable for excursions and walks in contact with nature. Beyond recreational and sports aspects, walking the Way of Saint John Bosco allows for the discovery of a territory that serves as a memory and tells the stories of the places that marked the childhood, education, and studies of the Saint. The farms, fields, schools, cities, and places of worship encountered along the three routes preserve the memory of the man who matured his authentic religiosity and methods of persuasion here. Finally, walking the Path offers the opportunity to discover a rich, widespread heritage of small and large historical, artistic, gastronomic, and natural excellences that provide extraordinary interest and value to this hilly area south of Turin.
