THE WAY of the SAINTS is presented as a second "spine" that starts from the plain of Tanaro, in San Martino Alfieri, crosses the Alfieri hills, traverses a small but varied territory that follows the high hill routes running parallel to the river, and then descends towards the plain of San Damiano and, especially, towards the municipality of Tigliole, where a unique and particular Romanesque-style testament can be found, like the Church of San Lorenzo, just a few hundred meters from an area rich in environmental emergencies, where LIPU has set up its own ornithological observatory. Through the territory of Tigliole, one can reach the municipality of Baldichieri and embark on another interesting route called the Way of Water.
The district is the area that underpins both this itinerary, which runs through its eastern portion, and, on the other front, to the west, the Way of the Brigands. The Baldichieri station and the Triversa Valley are quickly crossed, at a point with strong infrastructure, which is immediately left behind to enter a peculiar and new environment, bordering the Valleandona and Valle Botto park, resuming the path of the Greenway, and continuing along these ridges to the valley of Monale and Cortandone. From here, the itinerary merges with the Way of the Brigands, continuing towards Montafia and Capriglio until its destination, which is Colle Don Bosco, in Castelnuovo.
