Pelago MONTEMIGNAIO SOFT-Route

The Montemignaio-"SOFT" route... What’s in a name?? No less than 1550 meters of elevation over not even 60 kilometers! Everything but SOFT!
Maximum height 1200 meters, but twice the ascent! During the second climb, you pass the mountain village of Montemignaio at 740 m altitude: nothing special in itself, but there’s something about this small village with 585 inhabitants that looks over this green surroundings!

But first, from Pelago via Diaceto to the summit of the Consuma Pass. After that, a magnificent descent through Caiano!

Then the ascent to Montemignaio, which I find quite manageable, but what follows on the way to Vallombrosa is quite challenging: almost a constant 10%!

We literally leave Monte Secchieta and its antennas behind (we’re saving those for the Montemignaio Heavy Route!) and begin the sublime descent from Vallombrosa to Tosi, through one of the largest European coniferous forests!
