MORE THAN 50 YEARS OF SKYDIVING IN LUXEMBOURG
The Luxembourg Parachute Circle a.s.b.l. was founded in 1965. Since then, it has operated as a freefall enthusiasts' organization working on a voluntary basis. This is evident from the hangar and the clubhouse that were established by the members a few years after its founding and are still in use.

The club is located in Noertrange, a small town in the municipality of Winseler, in the northern part of the Grand Duchy, and has remained active since. Every weekend, as long as the weather permits, skydiving enthusiasts gather to share the same passion and make a few jumps together.

During its existence, CPL has introduced hundreds of people to parachuting. Whether it’s through the conventional method, S.O.A. (assisted openings), or the more modern method, AFF (Accelerated FreeFall), the club has significantly contributed to the development of the sport in Luxembourg, and the number of members has continued to grow.

For a long time, it ensured its activity with a Cessna 182, LX-PCW. Planned for 4 parachutists, the low capacity of the aircraft, however, limited the club's possibilities. While we did our best to meet the growing demand with this small plane, we had to think about an alternative...

NEW AIRCRAFT, NEW POSSIBILITIES
In 2011, CPL purchased a new aircraft, in this case a GA8 Airvan, known as “Félix.” This acquisition is larger than 8 parachutists and represents a turning point in the club's history. With this aircraft, several thousand jumps have now been made, including a large number of tandem jumps and student jumps.

The next challenge for the club will now be to find a solution for the hangar that has become too small over the years and the growing needs of recent years...
