We did this beautiful, well-marked hike on 13.02.2023

Parking is available in the spacious parking lot of the Wilwerwiltz church. Wilwerwiltz can also be reached by public transport. From the station, a short access route will then be added.

We left the church and made the loop clockwise. On the way up, you will first pass the Saint Willibrord campsite, a small campsite on the banks of the river Clerve. Over a distance of 2.2 km, you will climb from 300 m to 460 m. In the meantime, you will have a beautiful view of the Clerve Valley.

After that, you descend to the CR331, which you follow for a while to quickly take a dirt road that takes the hiker into the picturesque valley of the Réisterbaach. It flows into the Kirel. Once you reach the estuary, you can see a magnificent natural scene. The Kirel flows into the Himmelbaach, which you follow back to the Kirel valley. Here they stay for a while to return to Wilwerwiltz with slight ups and downs.

Enjoy, enjoy, enjoy
