We did this hike on June 6, 2024

For this hike, we used several locally marked hiking trails and also unmarked paths. It's best to navigate using a GPS and/or a map.

Free parking is available in the large parking lot at the Sandweiler cemetery.

We walked the loop clockwise. It was a good decision because, although it is a beautiful piece of nature, you have to deal with the stench of exhaust from departing planes. After about 2 kilometers, you won't mind it anymore.

Through the Birelerbaachtal, we head towards Schrassig. Before you pass Schrassig, you reach the "Centre de Formation Et D'Animation Neihaischen," where you can see a real Celtic house and an indigenous village. You can walk around freely, but the house is locked.

As you move further from Schrassig, the hike continues through the beautiful Birelerbaachtal.
