Nat'Our 3
A path of intense nature experience
The German-Luxembourgish Nat'Our Route "Paths without Borders" focuses on cross-border cooperation between the Our Nature Park and the South Eifel Nature Park. Both are part of the "German-Luxembourg Nature Park", which was established in 1964 as the first European nature park.
The route begins at the former toll station in Untereisenbach. After a steep ascent to the Wahlhausen Plateau, hikers are rewarded with a beautiful view of the Our Valley. The descent to Gëmund takes place through a forest on narrow paths along a ridge. On the German side, the hike passes through the romantic valley of the Irsen River, which is also known as the Valley of 1000 Butterflies.
Although this hike is signposted, it is best to take a GPS track and/or a map. The signs are there, but faded, so there is nothing left to see.
