Starlings love stations because they are covered and there are plenty of food scraps to be found. But did you know that they are also masters at mimicking sounds? There is a famous starling that hangs out near platform 19, which mimics the departure of a train and the closing of doors. Many travelers have already been confused by those sounds. The life and tricks of the starling are so spectacular that in August 2017, an exhibition was held at the Natural History Museum in Rotterdam. And the starling "platform 19" was one of the main characters of that exhibition.
