Max Euweplein is a square in the center of Amsterdam. It is located at Weteringschans, not far from Leidseplein. The bridge over the Singelgracht on the other side of the square leads to an entrance of Vondelpark on Stadhouderskade.
The round square was built on the former airfield of the old House of Detention. The square consists of new construction blocks and is a nightlife area. Various hospitality venues are located in the square, including the Hard Rock Cafe, a grand café that houses the Willy Alberti Museum, and a stand-up comedy café. The Holland Casino is located in the adjacent former Lido. Above the various clubs and cafés are apartments.
