The Witte Veen is a nature reserve of approximately 100 hectares in the border area of the Dutch province of Overijssel and Germany. It is located south of Enschede in the east of the municipality of Haaksbergen. Together with, among others, the Aamsveen and the Haaksbergerveen, the Witte Veen is part of the remains of a vast raised bog area in the border region between Germany and the Netherlands. An attempt is being made to make these nature reserves more compatible with each other.
