The Venbergse Watermill is located below Valkenswaard along the Dommel river. This mill was previously used as an oil mill, bark mill, and grain mill, and is one of the oldest mills in the Netherlands.
The Venbergse Watermill was a ban mill. The inhabitants of the surrounding areas were required to have their grain milled here. The history of the mill dates back about a thousand years. In 1740, the mill and its associated lands were publicly sold. At that time, the Venbergse Hoeve was one of the best-performing farms in the area.
