National Bicycle Museum Velorama

The museum showcases the development of the bicycle, starting from the balance bike of 1816, the bicycle with 'front-wheel drive' from 1860, the transition from wood to metal, the arrival of the high wheel with its enormous front wheel, the invention and application of the bicycle chain, bicycle lighting, the folding bike, the military bike, the air tire, the development to equal wheels after 1885, again wooden bicycles, racing bicycles (Wim van Est), the beginnings of the bicycle we know today, specifically Dutch bicycles, bicycles of dignitaries, bicycle tax plates, and advertising material.

Opening hours:
The museum is open on weekdays from 10:00 AM to 5:00 PM and on Sundays from 11:00 AM.

The entrance fee is 5.00 euros per person (children, groups, and seniors over 65 receive a discount).
Guided tours available upon request.

You can find Velorama between the Valkhof park in Nijmegen and the Waal quay. Parking space is available.
