"Concordia" Ede

The mill was built in 1865 on about the same site where a standerdmolen demolished in that year had stood. Already in 1607 there must have been a mill here. The mill was built against the existing mill mill, the contours of which can still be seen on the mill hull. The roof of the horse mill was later raised. The wheel of this mill was located in the hayloft of the hallehuis barn and is now in the mill. In 1911 the grinding barn was built on the northwest side. A diesel-powered grinding chair was placed here.on the left the grinding barn still with an open roof. The mill is located near the center of Ede on the corner of the Telefoonweg and Molenstraat, formerly called the Muelsteeg. The current address of the mill is Telefoonweg 34. It is possible that the mill on this site was not newly built, but came from another place. Research into this has not yet yielded any concrete results. It is a scaffolding mill with a thatched wooden octagon for grinding grain. The mill had three pairs of grindstones, of which the stone spindles and millstones have been preserved. The mill also struck oil during the crisis years, both linseed oil and rapeseed oil. After the restoration, the mill now has two grinding couples with blue millstones, one of which has a regulator.
