The Molen Van Hal is a grain mill in Voorst (Oude IJsselstreek) in the Dutch province of Gelderland. This band mill was built in 1866 on the orders of the miller Bernhard Stapelbroek. His daughter married Hubertus Hal in 1899. In 1905, Jannes van Hal opened a beer tavern in the courtyard of his farm near the mill, which later developed into the still-existing restaurant Van Hal. From 1909, the milling operation was moved to the barn, where a gasoline engine was installed. In World War II, the mill was heavily damaged and dismantled in 1957. Some of the blades had already broken off due to a lightning strike. More than a decade later, attempts were made to restore the mill, but these were unsuccessful. The name of the mill refers to the Van Hal family, which owned it until it was incorporated into the Korenmolen Voorst Foundation in 1999, which began restoration in 2009. In November 2010, the mill was provided with a roof and made ready for milling again.
