Nieuw Heeten is a village in the Dutch province of Overijssel and has 1,180 inhabitants. The village is surrounded by meadows on the edge of the Sallandse heuvelrug. In the center is t Pleintie, a square with a four-part work of art 't Gonst, made by sculptor Saske van der Eerden. The Roman Catholic parish church St. Joseph on the Scholtenstraat dates from 1923 and was designed by architect Wolter in Riele.
