The nature reserve the Balloërveld, also Ballooërveld, is a 367-hectare heathland in the municipality of Aa en Hunze, in the Dutch province of Drenthe. The heathland is located between Gasteren, Rolde, and Loon. To the north lies the eponymous hamlet Balloërveld
The heathland is situated on a high plateau between the valleys of the Looner Diep and the Rolderdiep. Notably, the heath, as part of the National Brook and Esdorp Landscape Drentse Aa, can be managed as a reserve along with the surrounding brook valleys. The predominant heath and grassy heath vegetation is sparsely interspersed with peat lakes, patches of pine forests, and small sand dunes here and there. The Shepherds of Balloo graze the Balloërveld on behalf of Staatsbosbeheer. The field is crisscrossed by a network of sandy roads and cart tracks, some of which date back to before the Middle Ages.
