Elkenrade is a hamlet in the municipality of Gulpen-Wittem, in the southern part of the Dutch province of Limburg. The hamlet is located in the Heuvelland along the road of the same name at a junction of roads between Wijlre, Eys, and Eyserheide. The suffix "rade" refers to a cleared space. Elkenrade lies together with the neighboring hamlets of Eyserheide and Mingersborg on a ridge, part of the Plateau of Ubachsberg, with the Colmont Dry Valley parallel to the north side. To the south are the Elkenradergrub, the Eyserberg, and the Eyserbos. Between Elkenrade and Eys stands the Eys Transmission Tower on the Eyserberg.
