Nederhemert North-South

Nederhemert North-South colloquially: north or south is a ferry service that has been operated since 1480 for traffic between the northern and southern parts of Nederhemert in the Dutch province of Gelderland. Nederhemert is separated into two parts by the Dammed Meuse, also known as the Dead Meuse, which ends in the beach pool of Well, also known as the Hole. Nederhemert-Zuid, the smaller part of the village, is located together with the hamlet of Bern in the municipality of Zaltbommel on the so-called Island. The ferry service is operated by Stichting Het Veer - Nederhemert. Experience has shown that in addition to cars, more than 80% of pedestrians and cyclists are transferred.
