Fort Berchem was reconstructed in 2010 on the basis of archaeological research. Two canals were found. One enclosed an area of about 67 by 62 m and the other was within it and measured 54 by min. 54 m. The last moat was probably around the guardhouse from the earlier phase. On the southeast side of the oldest moat, remains of a shoring or light bridge construction were found. In the center of the courtyard, remains of a round brick well were found, which was most likely already present in the time of the guardhouse.
The reconstructed fortress is free to enter.
