We already know that the main source of air pollution in the Eindhoven region is traffic. The mixture of exhaust gases emitted by cars, trucks and buses on highways and in the city causes relatively high concentrations of air pollution. In addition, what comes from outside the city is important (the 'background'). The air measurement system makes the concentrations and movements through the city visible.
