The center is located on the edge of the nature reserve De Weerribben, part of the Weerribben-Wieden National Park. Round trip boats from, for example, Meppel have included this outdoor center in their day trip program. The outdoor center belongs to the village of Ossenzijl in the province of Overijssel.
