It is the theme park's biggest draw, mainly because of its historical value. The toboggan run was opened in 1930 and is still in use, making it possibly the oldest working steel roller coaster in the world. Although the name suggests otherwise, the attraction has nothing to do with tobogganing, except that the idea of the later toboggan run is based on this, mild descents and speed depending on the weight.
The roller coaster was built by De Waarbeek himself, from parts supplied by the Japanese company ACA. The carts can accommodate four people, although it is sometimes forbidden to use a cart with more than two people in bad weather. Due to the danger of sliding, the attraction will even be closed in the event of heavy rain. This has to do with the ride's "skid brake" braking system, which is hardly used on any other roller coaster. This braking system is not in the carts but in the end station. There, brake rods press against a plate at the bottom of the trolley and push it up. The rest of the technique is also unusual for roller coasters, such as the funnel-shaped wheels that have a larger diameter and flanges on the inside, a system that is used by the railroad. Due to the limited speed, despite the open sides of the carts, it is not necessary to be stuck in brackets, and one can even stand during the ride. In the meantime, the sides are equipped with brackets and it is no longer possible to stand during the ride.
