The Prinses Marijkesluizen is a lock complex in the Amsterdam-Rhine Canal near Rijswijk and Ravenswaaij. The complex was already designed before the Second World War, but was only completed in 1952. The designer is J.P. Josephus Jitta. The complex consists of two locks and a water lock to close off the Betuwe building of the Amsterdam-Rhine Canal from the Lek. Under normal circumstances, the lock is open and ships can sail under the lock. At a water level of 5.55 m +NAP, the lock is closed and ships have to sail through the lock.
