Den Arend is a corn mill from 1869 located on Molenlaan in the town of Bergambacht, in the Dutch province of South Holland. The mill was built to replace a small post mill from 1553, the inner workings of which were reused in the construction. Until shortly before World War II, Den Arend was in operation. In 1954, the municipality of Bergambacht purchased the mill to prevent its demolition. From 1955 to 1958, the mill was completely restored. In 1980, extensive maintenance took place. Of the four pairs of millstones, two are still present. The sail length is 21 m. The current owner is a local construction and contracting company. Den Arend has been under restoration since June 2007, during which the timberwork turned out to be more severely affected than initially thought. The mill was once again capable of grinding at the beginning of 2008.
