Jaagpad 11

The house was originally the living part of a farmhouse from the mid-18th century. In the adjacent building Jaagpad 12/13, the original stable can still be recognized. The name Jaagpad refers to the path along the Gouwe, which was part of the waterway between the Zuiderzee and Antwerp. In earlier centuries, the farmhouse served as the point where the horses for the galley to Amsterdam were changed. In the early 20th century, the farmhouse was purchased by the pottery factory Goedewaagen. They used the stable for clay storage, and a laboratory was installed in the living house. In 1975, the pottery factory Gouda left, after which the farmhouse was restored and made suitable for habitation. During this process, the height of the living house was changed, and the façade was stripped of the plaster layer. Additionally, the façade design was modified by increasing the number of windows.
