Bodegraven ] ) is a town and former municipality in the western Netherlands, in the province of South Holland. The former municipality covers an area of 38.50 km2 of which 1.02 km2 is water.Bodegraven is centrally located in the Green Heart of the Randstad, roughly equally distant from Amsterdam, Rotterdam, The Hague, and Utrecht. It is surrounded by the municipalities : Nieuwkoop, Woerden, Reeuwijk , Boskoop, and Alphen aan den Rijn.
