Our Lady of Peace. This name has been on the beautiful chapel on the Oisterwijkseweg since 2017. If you were to ask a Moergestelnaar where the chapel with this name is located, he would probably look at you somewhat inquisitively. It is better to inquire about "t kapelleke", because that's how everyone knows him. The fact that there is a second chapel, with the name "O.L.V. in 't Veld", also in Moergestel but on the Oirschotseweg, is much less known.
In 1938 Carol Schade had this chapel built in the middle of the woods and in the immediate vicinity of his country house "Hooge Braaken" out of gratitude that he had survived a serious traffic accident.
Inside you will find a plaque with the names of victims from the 2nd World War.
