Municipal Cave

Experience the unique life underground. A small part of the 70 kilometers of man-made underground passages is open to the public, cave paintings and fossils of thousands of years old, combined with contemporary art.
You will get a glimpse into the world of the Block Breakers, see how people hid during the World Wars and you will see what the nuclear bomb shelter from the Cold War looks like and experience a more than ten meter high quarry underground, the Roman part.
A train will take you around, but of course you can also take the tour on foot. Both, of course, with professional guides. The tour is in Dutch, but outside you can download a special app for free with the French, German or English language.
There are also special guided tours of the very unique cycling gallery and the staff will let you experience life underground when there is a war and you have to fear for your life. What is it like to be underground for days on end?
