Castle Wambach is a vanished castle in Tegelen, a district of the Dutch municipality of Venlo. Nowadays, the Wambach quarry, which was a former landfill and gravel pit, is located on this site. Close to this place lies the neighborhood Wambacherhof, which recalls the associated farm.
In 1326, the castle was described as a fief of Cuijk. The castle was in fact the hunting lodge of Castle Holtmühle and lay on the steep edge of the high terrace located to the east. Next to the castle was a farm. The castle was not very large. During the Eighty Years' War, the castle was destroyed, but it was rebuilt in 1619 and expanded again in 1774. For that reason, the castle bore the anchor year 1774, while the farm bore the anchor year 1619. It was a simple, square building made of brick with two bays. In addition to the ground floor, it had two floors, topped with a mansard roof.
