At the intersection of Kruispad, Overasebaan, Oude Trambaan and Noordhoeksestraat is the robust little chapel dedicated to Our Lady of Perpetual Help.
The chapel has a thatched roof, while a wrought iron fence protects the devotional statue from vandalism. The hamlet wanted to found a chapel, not only to be spared from the violence of war, but also to obtain good crops and health. In the council meeting of August 29, 1941, a piece of land was made available to the church council free of charge for the construction of a small field chapel.
The first statue has been destroyed; the statue that stands there now comes from the garden of the sisters of Rijsbergen. Father Verbunt consecrated it on the last Sunday in May 1942.
This chapel is located on the former tram track.
