The Schacht Nulland belonged to the former Domaniale Mine in Kerkrade. The oldest coal mine in the Netherlands. Since 2006 it has been an annex of the Discovery Center Continium, Museumplein Limburg.
Former members of the Domaniale Mine have set up the foundation 'Koempels van de Domaniale'. They refurbished the shaft and set it up as a museum. Since 2013, they have been providing guided tours for various groups, from primary school classes to families and from associations to company outings.
In addition, from 1 January 2015, Schacht Nulland will be a wedding location (for a maximum of 25 people). In the shaft you can admire an original elevator, a mining bicycle, coal trucks, various machines and all kinds of objects and photos from the mining era.
Recently you can also take a look at the upper floor.
