On May 10, 1940, German troops invade the Netherlands. After a few days of fighting, the Netherlands surrenders. This is followed by five years of occupation. How does the German occupier behave and what does that mean for the population? Do you adapt, collaborate with the oppressors, or resist? And what happens to you if you are Jewish? Step into the shoes of one of eight individuals to experience the dilemmas that the war brought. Then visit the large hall to see the enormous amount of military equipment needed to liberate the Netherlands.
Special attention in the large hall is of course given to the Battle of Overloon during the Liberation in 1944. The War Museum Overloon is also a monument for the fallen on this battlefield. The War Museum Overloon is interesting for all ages and even worth visiting in bad weather. In the museum café, you can enjoy a snack and a drink. There is also a small shop available.
A visit to the War Museum Overloon is one you won't forget soon!
