Wittevrouwenveld, formerly referred to as Oostermaas, is a residential area in the east of the Dutch city of Maastricht. It is one of the 44 official neighborhoods within the municipality of Maastricht. Wittevrouwenveld was once known as a typical working-class neighborhood. Due to the completion of the King Willem-Alexander Tunnel and the accompanying investments, the area is undergoing significant transformations.
