Start one of my favorite Cycling routes from the BWO sports area at Oldenzaalsestraat 518.

The route goes quickly outside built-up areas and you cycle along the edge of Oldenzaal-Enschede (Airport). Then the route goes all the way inside (Postweg) to the Border with Germany, then a few kilometers along a main road towards Gildehaus where you also see a contrast difference in space from and in Germany. From Gildehaus the route continues towards Denekamp where you also pass the Hennie Kuiper Museum (Schotbroekweg).

A great professional cyclist from Twente with several successes such as: Olympic Championship in 1972, the World Championship in 1975, the stage win to l'Alpe d'Huez in Tour de France in 1977 and 1978 and the classic Paris-Roubaix that he won in a high-profile way in 1983!

Finally, the route goes past Denekamp (Noord-Deurningen) towards Weerselo and Deurningen back to Hengelo, at Pelle's in Deurningen you can take a break and / or eat. From Deurningen to Hengelo it is another 5 kilometers by bike to your final destination.
