According to the stories, four hundred years ago, Zwarte Kaat's gang made the Kempen unsafe. They robbed farms, raided travelers, and looted churches. They also kidnapped a newborn baby - that would ultimately spell the gang's downfall. In the land of Bladel, the traces of Zwarte Kaat can still be found everywhere. The walking route has been developed by Recreatiepark De Achterste Hoef.
