The Hageven-De Plateaux nature reserve spreads over Belgium and the Netherlands. It is an oasis of 600 hectares with heathland, fens, forests and grasslands, where the Dommel winds its way along the beautiful landscape. In this walk the northern (Dutch) part is mainly visited. (Unexpected) encounters with, among others, Grey Shrike, Milk Drup, Little Plover, Yellow Bunting, Squirrel, Reed Bunting, Tree Pipit, Piped Sandpiper, Porcelain Grouse and Fox, are illustrated with photos.
