Mook-Molenhoek

The Groene Wissel from the Mook-Molenhoek train station runs through the forests and heath fields of the Mookerheide nature reserve and along the hunting lodge. The Mookerheide nature reserve is located directly next to the train station. The reserve consists of a mix of rolling heathlands and forests. There is also an interesting history to be found in the Mookerheide. This walking route first passes over the Heumense Schans. In this heath field, traces of a 17th-century, star-shaped fortification can be seen. In the second heath field lies house Kuykse Hof. After a short stretch along the edge of the Groesbeekse Forest, around the village of Bisselt, the route continues to the Mookerheide hunting lodge. This remarkable Jugendstil building dates from 1905. In Bisselt (8.5 kilometers) there is a restaurant.
