This walk in Wijdenes offers a nostalgic experience in a picturesque village. You start at restaurant De Egelantier on Kerkbuurt and follow the Zuideruitweg past beautiful stolps and houses. The route takes you to the dike that protects West-Friesland from the water, with views over the Markermeer. Along the way, you pass a quiet beach, ideal for a short break. At campsite De Appelhoek, you take a secret path along trees and through a gate, after which you continue walking on grass. The Nanningsdijkje offers peace and quiet, with only the sound of the church bell in the distance. After a kilometer, you encounter a signpost and choose the route back to Wijdenes. The last part goes over a grassy ridge between ditches, with a mini bridge back to the paved road. The walk ends again in the village, where you can enjoy the serene surroundings.
