Some more about 'De Gooi en Vechtstreek'...
The Gooi and Vecht region comprises two regions: the lower, wetter Vechtstreek and the high and dry Gooi.

The Vechtstreek .
The Vechtstreek is named after the river Vecht, which flows through it as a proud rich vein. It is by far the most beautiful river in the Netherlands, on which in the 17th century the rich Amsterdam VOC merchants had their imposing country houses built. Even now you can still cycle, walk or sail the river with a rental boat and admire this special Amsterdam legacy. In the Vechtstreek you will also find the Loosdrechtse plassen for the necessary sailing pleasure and the nature-rich Ankeveense plassen and the Naardermeer. Beautiful historical places such as Naarden, Muiden, Weesp, Breukelen, Maarssen and 's-Graveland can be found there.

't Gooi
't Gooi is the most central part of the Netherlands, which has become the 'Hollywood of Holland' since the rise of television. An area with truly beautiful villages with old farm centers, special shops and surrounded by capital villas where celebrities have settled. Laren, Blaricum, Huizen, Bussum, all exude the rich Gooise atmosphere. All this is located in the vast forest and heathlands that together form the Goois nature reserve. Hilversum is the headquarters of 't Gooi, the Media Capital of the Netherlands with, among other things, its magnificent Institute for Sound & Vision, the largest Media Park in Europe and an extremely cozy and extensive shopping heart.
