From city to village – Wageningen to Ede

The route starts at the Market Square of Wageningen, in front of the Town Hall.
After we have passed Hotel De Wereld we climb lightly into the direction ring of the Wageningen Mountain. Over the first campus of Wageningen University we reach 'De Eng', a beautiful slightly undulating area with a striking number of allotments and we walk through a real vineyard.
After a few villas from Wageningen-Hoog we finally arrive at De Veluwe. 'De Hullenberg' is the name of the forest area east of Bennekom. Landgoed Hoekelum is beautiful, with beautiful views to the Castle with Farm of the same name. Once we have passed the A12 and the Utrecht-Arnhem railway line, we arrive in the nature reserve De Sysselt. The built-up area of the village of Ede is entered at the barracks area. Many Dutch young men were stationed here in the 50s and 60s of the last century in one of the Edese barracks. Via De Paasberg and past the town hall we reach the center of Ede at the Oude Kerk.
