Starting location:

- Natuurtransferium Echt, Bellekeweg 1 in Echt

- Treasury and Visitor Centre 't Stift, Salvatorplein 2 in Susteren

The Susteren route is a mix of unpaved singletracks, interspersed with fast, flat asphalt sections. The route runs along the canal, which is a paved route, but provides a beautiful view. All this makes it a perfect route for the novice mountain biker or, for example, young children.

The route is easy to combine with the MTB route of Echt, so that a route with a total length of 75 kilometers can be driven. There is also a connecting route with the Windraakroute in Windraak.

In South Limburg there are several signposted mountain bike trails with a total length of more than 500 kilometers. The routes are linked together by connectors, creating a network that ultimately covers the whole of South Limburg. It is therefore possible to discover the entire region by mountain bike. This network structure is unique in the Netherlands.
