Hiking trail - Brunssum - Parelpad Schutterspark

Welcome to beautiful South Limburg and especially to the municipality of Brunssum.

This short route leads through the Schutterspark. Before the site was used as a park, the land was owned by the local militia. These riflemen were reserve soldiers who helped in the defense of Brunssum in times of need.

The municipality of Brunssum now owns the park. The old buildings from the mining past fall under the protected cityscape of Brunssum. In addition to space for walking, playing or just lying in the grass, there is also plenty of space for nature in the Schutterspark.

Please note that the route is not signposted. But can be downloaded as a separately described route description (under the heading 'From the author'). Parking is possible at Kinderboerderij Schutterspark, (Heidestraat 20 in Brunssum).
