This hike follows the course of the Ruiten Aa - which blocked a lot of sand in its wild years - through a gently rolling landscape with a pleasant mix of fields and forests. You pass the "round fields" and the "Horn fields," names that refer to the area's history. The straight path between Jipsinghuizen and Wollinghuizen used to be the route of the railway on which the steam train "Ol' Graitje" ran.
