This unconventional route takes you on a tour along diverse shopping streets and through lively, off-the-beaten-track neighbourhoods in Rotterdam North. It is a route with the kinds of shops I really enjoy: mainly by small owners, and/or representative of the diversity of Rotterdam. Examples of these are the Jonker Fransstraat and the Zwart Jansstraat. You will also see some highlights that can be considered high gentrification: Zaagmolenkade, Zwaanshals, Luchtbogen, ZoHo and the Luchtsingel, with hipster shops and cafes below Schieblock. Which do you prefer?
