Walking from the center of Kerkrade towards the abbey of Rolduc, we walk through the Beerenbosch to the beautiful Wormdal. When the bridge over the border river Worm is crossed, the route continues in Germany until we reach the village of Hofstadt through the Kanualbusch and we enjoy the view and the arable farming on this plateau. Descending we come back to the Worm and the Baalsbruggermolen to return to the starting point via the Grensstraat along the ponds of the abbey.
