The route starts at the parking lot.
This hiking route goes through the beautiful nature around Strijensas. You may come face to face with sheep and also Scottish Highland cattle. Roe deer can also be found in the willows and, with a bit of luck, you can see them in the surrounding meadows, mostly at sunset.
There are also various birds to be seen in this water-rich area.
For this route, rubber boots are a must, as the area can be very wet and marshy and regularly floods due to the open connection with Hollands Diep.
